Eames Blank House of Cards
Now, it is your turn to add your voice to today’s dialog. During the break-out sessions, grab some markers and two blank House of Cards, which were originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames to celebrate the “uncommon beauty of common things.” Express whatever is most important to you right now. Interlock the Cards with others to create a communal tower that connects our commitments, broadens our perspectives and encourages new solutions to today’s demands. As Charles Eames observed, it’s all about “the connections . . . the connections . . . the connections.”
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
