This two-tone DCW was made by Evans in 1946. Seats of birch veneer and black aniline-dyed legs.
On the underside you can see the outline of one of the two earliest Evans labels. It was a one piece decal, with a round part (the Evans "X" within a circle logo) expanding into a rectangular part on which the words "Evans Products Company" was printed. It has the Evans characteristic five-two-five screw configuration underneath.
