Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and an Eames LTR

Brad Pitt collaborated with photographer Steven Klein on this multi-page photographic essay on “vintage suburbia” for “W” magazine in July 2005. It was during the production of MR. AND MRS. SMITH and Angelina Jolie joined Brad in this venture. Brad Pitt selected all of the furniture for this photo shoot and Eames Spotting is particularly pleased that he decided to feature an Eames LTR so prominently.
The Eames Office introduced the LTR to the Herman Miller catalogue in 1950 and it is still in production. In the earliest sales literature this table was also called the “strut” table, and we say with great respect and compliments, Ms. Jolie’s “struts” look very beautiful adjacent to it.
